2848. Some Advice for Ordinary People!

Image
Acts of piety and devotion, on regular days, help us be contemplative of our Father God... In the middle of the street. For us ordinary people. They are the main things to do every day: attending the Holy Mass, saying the rosary, reading the New Testament for a few minutes, visits to the Eucharist tabernacle, where Jesus Christ is hidden, present though. We don’t lose time by carrying them out! And they really don’t subtract us time for the work, the family… all the way around: they help us carry out all those things. Be sure. / Photo from: www injuriesandaccidentsnyc com

2845. Continuation...

Oh, I forgot it, Jesus Christ is true God and true man. / Photo from: The Crowning of the Virgin Mary, by Spanish 17th century painter Velázquez. She's the mother of Jesus Christ, the Person at the left hand. The Most Holy Trinity is crowning the Virgin Mary, who is mother of God. In God there are three Persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, here in the form of a Dove.

2844. Also on Regular Days at School!

2591. A Nice Teacher with Clear Ideas

Image
We as teachers must have a clear idea and notion about what a person is.  Chiefly any person is a possible or an actual interlocutor of God, and on that basis and foundation and basement we have to build up our teaching.  Any person is capable to become a God’s interlocutor.  If we discard that basis, more likely the notion and idea of a person will fall down, time passing, I would say. / Photo from: bannerTeacherWomanLaptop www hmhco com

2586. When Life Turns Hard

Image
What is a person?  A person is called to know and love God.  If we don’t remove this relationship, all will go right. A person that believes in God has more weapons for the typical dire straits of life. He has a handle or grip in life: there is God-Father that watches over the person.  The person is not alone, and when dire straits arose he will have a handle or grip to hold in life, more than an atheist, who might feel alone, just him and the big problem. I have nothing against atheists: I help them when possible. / Photo from: 1aled fotomats ru. parachuting

2582. Some Key Questions to Be Answered

Image
We all ask ourselves the following questions in some way or another: Who or What am I? Where do I come from? Where am I going to?  The answers are: I’m a person, but what is a person? Let’s go on.  I have arrived here because God has created my soul, just because of love, and my parents have given me my body.  God has a great love to us, more than all moms and dads all over the world.  The person is a speaker in this big conversation, which is life. God is the other interlocutor. I can talk To and With God.  Besides I’m going to learn that my destination is in God, so I keep on by being an interlocutor with God. I respect you, since you’re an interlocutor with Him (!). We are called to some friendship with Him.  On this basis and foundation and basement we can talk about ethics in educating and teaching. And also about the close relationships that there should be among teachers and parents and the kid.  If we remove G...

2579. What to Think on a Regular Day or on the Weekend

Image
One may say, Today is Monday and I’m so hectic today. I’ve got a lot of stuff to do.  Stop.  I believe you and understand you. But within this hurrying up of a regular day we might forget the interesting questions.  What for? What all this work for? Who am I? Where have I come from? Where I’m going to?  We have to recover a transcendent view of person, a metaphysic view of man.  And right now either carry on with your labor or ask you yourself those essential questions. It’s worth the try. Whenever you have a recess or break. / Photo from: www shutterstock com

2494. We Teach Human Beings Of Course

Image
Coming down, we can think we teach people, persons, right? We will teach as we consider the beings I have opposite me.  What’s a student, his family, society? We need a meaning for man and woman.  They have a soul, which is spiritual. Person’s destination arrives after death, let’s remember.  Heaven or Hell? Maybe temporarily to the Purgatory. Man has a non-mortal part, which is his soul. Values and virtues provide the weapon against earthliness. We are the world, but we are not (we should not be) mundane and earthly, feet on the ground but thinking also of Paradise. / Photo from: woman-talking-to-friends motherscircle net

2424. A new view

Image
When to start the catechesis with our children? Before the First Communion? Right from now, I would say.  When they are just months old, children focus and record everything.  The first point is setting a nice example, like praying before an image of the Most Holy Virgin Mary, at home.  And later repeat with them some simple prayers, never for long.  And perhaps to take them to the parish, to catechesis. When they’re six years for instance.  A family that prays together, it stays and remains close together. Because Jesus Christ and Saint Mary are in the center of that family.  And if you’re Christian, you have more resorts in life than a person who doesn’t pray, with all my respect. I respect your conscience, if you aren’t Roman Catholic, but I cannot help without saying these things. / Photo from: little-girl-with-bible-outside-church www sheknows com

2394. An Example of a Worker: Turn to Him

Image
We teachers evidently can count on God’s help, and also the students we have entrusted can turn to Him and seek His help.  If you do this, if you seek God’s help and pray to Him, you will get amazed of the results.  In God there are Three Persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.  Now we have that the second Person incarnated as Jesus Christ, the master, the magister , the Teacher.  Ask Him for specific things: you’ll notice His aid.  Jesus Christ was a joiner and carpenter. And He knew how to have a job, in the hamlet and small town of Nazareth. He learned from His father, Saint Joseph. You aren’t alone in the classroom with just your forces and strength. / Photo from: jesus-and-joseph

2386. How to Give Strength and Force to Your Speech

Image
Once I heard or read that Saint John Paul II had that force and strength when giving a speech or something similar, like Wednesday’s messages, because he identified with the message: both The Pope and the message were like a single figure.  He identified with what he was saying, so also his body language was communication.  Moreover he had been a theater actor when young. / Photo from:  www chwalmyboga pl

2369. El sacramento de la confesión: ¡ser perdonado!

Image
Y lleva a confesarse. 2330. Fancy an excursion?

Image
One day a teacher took his students for an excursion to the mountains. He tried the kids be hard and strong.  As well they all prayed a mystery of the rosary, and he told them some things from the Catechism of the Catholic Church.  Maybe those kids will go away far in the future, but his teacher had sowed a seed of sane doctrine which could influence on their parents and families, and society. He treated the kids gently and nicely. / Photo from: www cruiselawnews com

2303. Let's talk of religion today for a little

Image
What’s the best inheritance and gift some parents and their family can give to young brothers and sisters? I would say religion, their religion, their faith.  I’m Roman Catholic and my experience is just wonderful. If you’re other religion, learn that I will respect your beliefs, although I would like you would follow my dear God and his mother and ours too!, the Most Holy Virgin Mary, mother of God and our mother as well, as I said. I respect your conscience but I cannot stop saying about my beliefs. / Photo from: jacintacooper wordpress com

2302. I'm optimistic becuase I have hope!

Image
Religious education. It is urgent to give it and pass it on to our children and to our youth.  Family is the atmosphere where this education should be lived by its members and relations. Not only school or catechesis should be here the educators, but parents and siblings alike.  Faith is something so valuable that we have got to plan it for the children of our family.  I’m Roman Catholic. If you’re other religion I will respect you, of course!, but I cannot help to say that I believe in that truth.  Parents and elder siblings should teach young children to pray to a loving God, who has the love and affection and tenderness and care and providence of a father and a mother. I will soon write more about this important point, which is one of a paramount importance.  Just a line more: Christians have weapons and means to face up with life more abundant than a person who has no religion and hope. I pray for you readers, right now. / Photo fr...
