2728. Are We Close to Our Students?



A teacher should not be an ice model whom students can admire but not imitate. 

A teacher should set examples of a thorough conducting and personality, so he ought to be an upright person. 

He should be close to his students, next to their issues and problems and joys. He should talk often with his students.

Teacher B said to teacher A, “Bullying. In a school of the south of Spain where I worked for some unforgettable years we used to cut off any nuance among the students, when a few of them for example started on and teased one specific kid.  We on one side called the victim kid to talk with him and also called his parents – his tutor did this latter thing. The idea was to have the kid relax and retrieve information from him about the bullying actions he had suffered.  On the other side we summoned the suspected authors of the bullying, also to talk with them. 1485. More about necessary homework

At home the student ought to count on an atmosphere that would help him study.  Once more it’s the parents and elder siblings the ones who can provide this ambience at home.  There can be little siblings running around and all that, but the student should have a quiet room to carry out his homework, maybe with one of his brothers in the room too.  Homework and reading.  Reading can aid a lot to the kid to mature. Think of classics.  Maybe not as much as a student that attended a camp of English last summer. I was helping out with further conversations in English with each kid.
