3108. More on Fostering Communication


 
I mentioned and pinpointed smiling as a teaching aid for fostering communication in English, our common target language. Smiling, and a clever smiling, can lubricate communication among grown-ups, as more or less I said on post #3107.
Well, also among teens or children smiling can have an enhancing potential to create and make up that communication. It’s so because communication and speaking among people is one of the most remarkable differences between us people and animals for example, and we certainly laugh.
I was lucubrating and thought I should add this point to the last post information. Here you are. / Photo from: Meset What would we do without them at the school? They are great, lady cleaners or cleaning personnel. This picture is a homage to them.

NB.- I just realized the attached picture might someway mean something pejorative about those gentlemen. Nothing this sort I meant. Furthermore, i do not know them. Just i liked the photograph, an interesting one if you have a peek at it. I’m following on TV the terrible immigration from Syria and Irak to Europe.  It’s much of a tragedy.  And I can see how young people above all are breaking new ground at speaking in English to the TV reporters. 1930. The necessity of compromise

We have freedom, tentatively, and by principle. First premise.  However if I skip any compromise, I can't use my freedom.  If I compromise with someone about something I must fulfill it, right?  Albeit some people think that getting married for example doesn't entail to live with your spouse for the rest of your life, I'd say that compromise is for all the lifetime of one of the spouses however. One day teacher of English B said to teacher of English A, “Pronunciation in English is essential in teaching/learning this language. The teacher has to pronounce single words clearly, and make the students repeat, as a chorus, and individually. Also the teacher should read sentences in a more naturalistic way, and make the students read aloud too, and so listen to one another.
