2399. When I Don't Know a Word and Have to Go On



We teachers of languages can teach conversation strategies, when for instance some student is speaking to somebody else and has problems to continue. 

When you don’t know a word in the target language you can give an explanation of its meaning. 

Just that is enough most of the times.
