I would tell you to plan the classes you teach, or you have. 

English is not taught – history is taught. 

We work out English in classes. You don’t teach English – somewhat yes – but you have classes of English with your students: you work out activities. 

Sometimes you teach English because you present the perfect future tense or the four types of conditional sentences.
