3521. Something Helpful for Your Day-to-Day Working in the Classroom

Teaching? I love it. That does not mean it’s not hard – at some extent. 

If you’re a teacher – or otherwise any other job, I would advise you to plan your lessons in the following way, to fulfill your job in the following way. 

When lesson-planning, you may think of one or two things you know are convenient for your students. Then plan the activities with your students in mind. And… you know what? It’s so and pretty convenient you should love your students. That makes the difference. Love of benevolence. 

That is: wish what is good for them. In other words: seek what is good for them. Even we should sacrifice for them: get so committed with teaching them and not just fulfilling the strict duty and that’s it. 

The teacher who gives himself to his students is able to accomplish that stupendous goal. That makes the difference, I can confess to you. 

It’s quite many teachers’ experience. What teachers can we remember from our childhood? Best and in a most delighted way the teachers who did their utmost. Have a nice week, fellow readers!

One day teacher of English B said to teacher of English A, “In my opinion, definitely it’s a great and essential idea today here in Spain and in other countries (I guess), more and more, subjects different from English should be taught and learned in English. For example it’s becoming more and more frequent today that in Spain students attend classes of History, and Science, with textbooks in English, or by means of portfolios or dossiers made from here and there – complementary topics to one another. 1189. A sere education is necessary

According again to Alejandro Llano all this education passes through deep tutoring sessions, going to specific details and actions.  And of course the first role of education is in their parents’ hands. Parents are the main educators of their children, and they turn to schools because they don’t know physics, Latin, etc.  Thus, the school’s labor is subsidiary.  Parents should talk with their children in an easy way, also they should transmit values, both by means of setting an example and by talking. 3706. Bettering as a Teacher Myself You Mean? How Can I Do It?

  Just to halt at times. And have a quick mental look or perspective to your teaching. That is something I sometimes do.  For example I did something of this at Christmas break. We had stopped our English classes for a while. And at home I had a mental peek at how my students were doing, and how I was doing as a teacher myself. Just to detect failures in me and in them. Also to find out what was turning out fine.  And all that is just something simple, even intuitive. It’s like keeping track of how things are going. Take into account what typed on the previous post if you like. I'd also tell you to look in your audience faces and eyes. As well when addressing your students in class, eye-contact is good for their self-esteem and for a good management of the class.
