327. How to balance your class-group


One day teacher B said to teacher A,
"How getting your students more involved in the class conducting and how improving discipline and management? You can try this.
Also this thing I'm telling you about may increase their responsibility and maturity.
Write a list of small jobs for your students to do in the classroom, like: arranging the rows of desks, getting chalk, erasing the blackboard, turning off the lights after the classes, clean the chalk dust from the teacher's desk, watering the plants if any, remind you of important things for today, the updating of the noticeboard, a representative of the class, a 'committee' of representatives, monitors to help their classmates, reading the class list and checking out whether absentees, etc.
And assign one student per each small job. Usually it turns out to be very positive. I've done it in my school."

  A lot of us people want to learn a language – I teach English and keep learning it! – and we have to practice all four language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.  For me and many of us listening may be the most difficult skill to acquire, but with practice you do improve a lot, believe me.  Anyway, today I would like to tell you especially about reading. Reading books, articles, websites. One day English teacher A said to English teacher B, “Management of the class and discipline is something the student has got to acquire by himself. The best discipline in the classroom is one's self-discipline, and is learned and acquired by students.  One way is to be grateful, to show gratitude.  If you, teacher, thank your students for a well-done small job for example, this action serves to keep more discipline.  Some students can be rude, right, but I guess that if you thank one of them in a repeated way, day after day, he will behave a bit better. If you teacher are polite and serious and a bit conspicuous, plus you don’t lose your temper, the class will develop better and better.  Teens feel insecure and they’re growing their personality, so if you treat them in a polite way, they will grow up fine. A goal. An ultimate goal we need for our lives.  Have you ever thought about that? I assume you have, for all of us ask ourselves about the goal of our life at sometime.  What’s my mission here? What are my goals? Do I have an ultimate goal? Or otherwise do I live at day, on just today?  A sensible person ought to have a final goal, oughtn’t to? Our students and their families should have an ultimate goal alike.  Some people carry out their labor fine and the remaining of a regular day as well, and offer all that to our Father God.
