2493. On Class Management

Class management. It’s more than management: we work with people, persons.

I would tell you not to start a class or to follow an activity if the students are chattering and distracted.

Call their attention, by addressing them by their proper names, whilst you’re gazing and staring at them.

If they start to be quiet, I mean some of them and increasingly in number, more likely they will stop talking. Be serious and show serious.

I have written a lot on discipline and class management. You can click on the tags or labels. / Photo from: advice_for_teachers_to_help_prevent_misbehavior_in_their_classroom expertbeacon com
