2497. The Importance of Placement Tests

Placement tests are quite useful to put each student at a certain class-group, or to find out helpful information about the students that are sitting down in front of me, at the beginning of the academic year.

I usually combine easy and simple questions with other high level ones. For example there is a box to translate words from Spanish to English; for instance I write “alumno” and “poyete de ventana”.

In that way it is pretty simple to assign each student at some classroom.

The test should be practical for assessing, and simple to mark or grade. / Photo from: students-taking-test justaddtea wordpress com
