1858. What parts should I include in a test of English?

In my opinion and from my experience and others’ ones a test or exam of English for a unit or for a term – I think tests ought to be rather frequent, something like one per unit of the course book –, should include the four language skills except for speaking.
We are assessing daily our students’ communicative and grammatical competences and knowledge by speaking, plus you can carry out a more defined speaking test.
I could include a question or activity about vocabulary; then, some listening, reading and writing parts.
For example, and something so simple, after the vocab box, “Write a sentence with a word of exercise 1 (the one with just vocabulary)”.
And then each modern language teacher would make all this into something more specific. / Photo from: www zippi pt. the picture above is just for illustrating the post
