I would tell you to plan the classes you teach, or you have. 

English is not taught – history is taught. 

We work out English in classes. You don’t teach English – somewhat yes – but you have classes of English with your students: you work out activities. 

Sometimes you teach English because you present the perfect future tense or the four types of conditional sentences.   I wrote a few days ago the following.  One more year has begun. And today I’m going to let you know about something I lately do when lesson planning, in case it may help you out.  I teach English to adults.
