1059. Bettering at the end of the academic year

Teacher A said to teacher B, “In a class of 23 students for instance, there can be 5 very-high-achievers, 3 or 4 very-low-achievers, and the rest are average.

Among these latter ones there can be 6 or 7 mediocre students.

They feel okay with Pass: things are not going bad. They can be thinking of passing.

However, the thing is that they are not learning or acquiring English. They won’t strive to learn or acquire English really.

Gently praise the one that did something good. It’ll be the first time one or more of them become high-achievers. Talk to him aside, after the class, smile, and let him know he can learn or acquire the target language, English.” / Photo from: truedakotan com. students reading group with mrs daugaard
