257. Helping one another

One day teacher A said to teacher B (in this case two guys),
"Yes, like I told you, the thing of consejos de curso.
I learned about it some years ago, when working in a school in NNN. This team helps their classmates a lot.
The team is the delegado and two vocales, chosen by their classmates, by voting at the start of the academic year - normally good students.
The school is single-sexed.
So, the teacher in charge of a specific class-group met with this team twice or once a month.
These students became so concerned about their classmates.
They used to tell me about some likely problems of their classmates, and any remedial suggestions:
misbehavior,
academic failures,
attention problems of one kid,
also positive points of others,
possible aids by someone to someone else - sitting next to each other-,
maybe also about a bad magazine passing on some classmates, isolation,
bullying,
bad subtle ambiance.
The result: improving the whole class-group and of individual students. Oh, and a sense of responsibility among the members of the consejo de curso."
