2159. How to start to speak in English

I have private classes with a kid of 11.

The last day we were speaking in English for some time. He’s a false beginner and so we were talking nearly from zero, or at least from a little knowledge.

The idea was asking him simple questions, and utilizing full color pictures from a magazine as a prompt. Plus helping him when he didn’t know how to say something.

I think this is a nice way to start to train the student to speak in English. / Photo from: london-2012-summer-olympic-games-mens-high-jump thumtherightcorner com. The picture is a mere illustration
