1791. Be Coherent: Teens Admire Coherent Adults

Adolescents admire adults who are coherent with their principles and the stuff and rules they may say.

Otherwise, unless an adult is coherent, they despise him, and think that person is a hypocrite.

Let’s suppose a teacher has set a sere discipline in the classroom usually and so he can teach with only minor problems. And he's fair and coherent.

This coherence may be useful both for parents and teachers.

A sound principle for a teacher might be that punishment will be exerted as such.

If you’re burned out because of a bad class with the students, don’t set then, at that moment, I’d say, punishment: you take the risk of setting a punishment they cannot do it.

I knew a teacher that when burned out he said (in Spanish), “You all have one point less in the last test.”

For example, what will happen with the students that got a 5? In Spain the grading of tests normally is based as follows: 10 is the highest grade, and 0 is the lowest one. If you get 5, it means you passed the test. / Photo from: Alhambra jardines partal. www spain info. The picture is a mere illustration
