1934. Do your students understand you?



I would tell you to speak clearly to your students in English, the target language. 

Also give them clear instructions. 

An English language teacher told me we teachers should pronounce clearly, all the words. 

Nevertheless sometime you could think you have to speak more quickly, as people they encounter will pronounce.

We have freedom, tentatively, and by principle. And today I’m going to let you know about something I lately do when lesson planning, in case it may help you out.  I teach English to adults. They don’t worry about what the native language equivalents are. They don’t mentally translate things as they’re listening or speaking. Your best bet would be to try being a little more childlike .
