1757. How to Start a Class: An Example

A trick to make our students be quiet and focused, at the beginning of a class, is to address some of them individually, one by one plus speaking in a low and slow voice: tentatively often they will keep silent.

And with warmers or short revisions of past classes we might achieve they get silent and attentive.

An important point is for you to get calm albeit they may be chattering a lot at the beginning of a class.

Then it’s the time for relaxing and starting the class in English – the target language. / Photo from: tadpoles log. edtosavetheworld com
