That can be helpful for class-management stuff. 

We can try to treat the kids tactfully and respectfully. That is a point in favor of discipline: we respect them as persons and we have them think they have to do the same. 

In the classroom one comes in to work and learn, and some basic politeness rules should be kept, in order to learn and teach. 

We’re helping them work and learn, so they should come to terms with that goal; they must keep the basic rule of being polite, in this way, in that way…
