893. Like part of a natural plan to grow



H. D. Brown, as I’ve written on previous posts, states that learning and acquiring a language mainly depends on oneself. And that’s it. The more effort you invest in learning the language the better. The keys for success so would be “developing your own inner states of motivation and self-confidence, lowering anxieties, and becoming more of a risk taker are part of the plan.” (Page 71 from his already quoted book in this blog). We have freedom, tentatively, and by principle. First premise.  However if I skip any compromise, I can't use my freedom.  If I compromise with someone about something I must fulfill it, right?  Albeit some people think that getting married for example doesn't entail to live with your spouse for the rest of your life, I'd say that compromise is for all the lifetime of one of the spouses however.   I wrote a few days ago the following.  One more year has begun. And today I’m going to let you know about something I lately do when lesson planning, in case it may help you out.  I teach English to adults. They don’t worry about what the native language equivalents are. They don’t mentally translate things as they’re listening or speaking. Your best bet would be to try being a little more childlike .
