1712. Listening to foster learning a foreign or second language



Learners of English achieve a lot by means of just reading. 

An activity we can implement in classes is Top-down and bottom-up understanding. It’s adequate from intermediate students upward. 

The goal is for the students to understand single words from listening to a CD or to understand the gist. In other words, to understand details or what the text is about.
