3068. Motivation in The Teacher



I have a problem with the computer I use for posting. Today I only wanted to tell you that an enthused teacher passes on his enthusiasm to his students. Sooner or later it’s like that. It may take shorter or longer but he will pass on the desire of learning more about such and such topics. / Photo from: Canary learning. The teacher himself also keeps on learning himself.

And today I’m going to let you know about something I lately do when lesson planning, in case it may help you out.  I teach English to adults. And when I start to plan a new lesson, I wonder, Okay, what should I do to really help my students learn that language? Because each and every class should be one step forward in their learning and acquiring English.  Secondly I also could wonder, Okay, what can I do next class to make my students become autonomous learners? They don’t worry about what the native language equivalents are. They don’t mentally translate things as they’re listening or speaking. Your best bet would be to try being a little more childlike .
