54. What about if I am the Principal of my school myself?
Joe answered this question Dwight had asked,
"When you are the principal of the school, or the director of the department of languages, I assume you should do this.
Bear with me. Let your subordinates carry around as they wish, first of all. Let your teachers teach classes whatsoever they like; delegate on them, let them make for it.
Let them be comfortable with your leading. Let them do their best.
Stick together to them, inasmuch as possible. Be a mother with the disappointed ones. Be a father with the too-much easy-going ones, who do not take work serious, or do not demand effort from their kids.
Delegate on them. Shoot the soccerball onto their roofs. They will get more responsible of their job themselves.
Listen, listen, listen to your teachers. Make suggestions to them. Track them down. Track their successes or failures.
Keep listening to them. Let you yourself bear with them. Make them be aware of what turns out good, what bad.
Right, I was referring to a single-sex school, with male teachers. Otherwise, if there are female teachers, for the school has boys and girls, be a gentleman but not their buddy. I mean this regarding you yourself: you told me about your drawbacks. And secondly, regarding the women-colleagues: you like them, obviuosly. Do not give way to possible gossip, because you will be upright and consequently known with a good reputation.
Keep present ever that you are married."
