2511. Teaching to Communicate with People

Let us teachers of English not fall into the pitch of teaching facts of English: vocabulary, some curiosities of English, dry grammar, drills and drills…

We have to take our students toward communication in English.

Okay, those things – vocabulary, grammar, etc. – are necessary for learning and acquiring the second or foreign language, but just as the basis or like the instruments for communication.

Thus English classes shall be in English, and we’re interested in our students’ communicative competence! / Photo from: talking-to-kids www pbs org
