When you’re a proficient speaker of certain language, you acquire the sense of language. 

You get info from outside and use it when writing for example. With that sense of the language you can infer that that word there… is not correctly used, although you have never use that word, but the proficiency tells you so.

And today I’m going to let you know about something I lately do when lesson planning, in case it may help you out.  I teach English to adults.
