2296. They're autonomous learners of a language

Good learners utilize learning strategies for learning a foreign language, for example English.

In this blog I’ve written a lot about learning strategies.

And more important than the very using strategies is that they know they use them, except some strategies, of which they aren’t conscious or aware.

They discard what doesn’t work, and cling to those strategies that turn out to work.

They’re autonomous: they learn just because they like, and be sure they will keep on trying new strategies. This latter phenomenon is amazing: their own engine are themselves. They wish to learn and acquire English, and so they play with different ways of doing things. / Photo from: www britannica com. skimo fishing
