When reprimanding a student aside, bear in mind that he’s a being with intelligence. 

It’s better to make himself think about what he did wrong, than shouting at him. 

As well you should think that he expects criteria from you teacher, and that moment is of a paramount importance for him, since he can think, ponder and consider the harm he made.
